The chief executive officer of an industrial supply company was arrested Wednesday for selling counterfeit subway and bus parts to New York City Transit.
The Manhattan district attorney’s office said Joseph Ungar, 47, will plead guilty to grand larceny, fraud and tax evasion charges.
As part of the plea agreement, Ungar will have to make full restitution of more than $125,000, serve five years probation, and pay more than $200,000 in fines and taxes.
His corporation, ABEC Industries, will also plead guilty to counterfeiting and other charges and must cease operations.
