A GANG behind a counterfeit clothing operation which netted tens of thousands of pounds, had a catalogue that was as extensive as a high class store in
the Trafford Centre, a jury has been told.
The scam, which involved selling goods with fake designer logos of top fashion houses including Armani, Hugo Boss, Fred Perry and Prada on the internet auction website eBay, involved hundreds of transactions in volumes that would have made high street stores ‘green with envy, Manchester Crown Court was heard.
It is alleged that the operation was a conspiracy involving 15 people, all of whom made a `substantial’ amount of money out of the illegal business over a two year period.
